roadkill series

2025–2026

( Back )

Overview:

A rabbit, a fox, a possum. A life ended mid-flight, its insides spilled across the pavement, its final act staged without intention.

roadkill is a four-part performance series and accompanying short dance film that investigates victimhood through the metaphorical lens of roadkill. Each installment focuses on a nuance within the larger theme, from trauma and cancel culture to consequence and change. The series meditates on what victimhood does to the human psyche, how a wound hardens into a shield against the terror of death, or perhaps, the terror of God. Viewers meet their own fragility, startled into the sudden awareness that they too are subject to rupture.
